![]() It is hard to find teachers that actually care for the students success, All the teachers at North River seek the success of their students. There is a secured feeling and a family oriented feeling when ever I visit the school, for whatever reason it may be. It is a great feeling to know that everyone has a good idea who everyone else is. The teachers, office staff, security guys, all know me and which kids I belong with when I walk in. A huge difference from the prior school they attended. They grow an attachment and a bond that carries on through the rest of their school years. Since there is a small amount of students the classes are smaller and the teachers are able to give each student the individual attenction he or she may need. They keep you up to date as a parent where your child stands. The faculty who work with the students are magnificent. The academics are challenging enough to keep them going. My oldest is in the special ed program and is succeeding extremely well. Students report that their classroom peers: Expand All. They also placed a time capsule in front of the monument, which is to be opened in the year 2028.As a parent of three children attending this school, also nieces and a nephew who attend, this school is more than wonderful. Peer Support for Academic Work Students demonstrate behaviors that lead to academic achievement. The summer of 1998 brought major changes to Deep River School. Deep River Elementary School consists of grades kindergarten through fifth grade. In 1992, Lee County Schools reorganized its grade configuration to elementary (K-5), middle school (6-8), and high school (9-12). In 1977, Lee County consolidated its high schools Deep River School once again became an elementary (K-6) school. In 1924, a new school was opened in the Deep River Community. In 1969 the high school building was built and the 9th-12th grades were moved to their present building. Originally the Madrid School's K-12 grades were located on one campus in 3 attached buildings. Deep River Elementary School is located on an approximately 65-acre site in a rural area on Deep River Road, commonly known as Old US 1, ten miles northwest of Sanford. Madrid Community Schools is an excellent system serving grades K-12, all at facilities located within the town of Madrid. ![]()
